Roy Oppenheim has been a clear voice in helping educate South Florida homeowners on their rights with regard to foreclosure defense. His latest blog post, prompted by a 60 Minutes segment is worth reading. The piece shines new light on the hypocritical practice of lenders using robo-signing sweatshops to recreate and falsify mortgage documents that were used in fraudulent foreclosure filings. There is not doubt that the housing crash has hurt many people, and created opportunity for others. But for the lenders to be allowed to enforce their mortgages based on false documents is truly stunning.
